Posters & Prints
For the A5 prints and A3 posters, I knew I had to create multiples to a high standard if I wanted a chance of selling my work. So, I began by taking in normal sketchbook paper to print onto, as to not risk the use of my expensive print paper. Im glad I did this, as I had many print outs that came out dull or wrong. While I was aware this could partly be because of my choice of paper, I played around with the printer settings on both the printer and photoshop, as to understand the problem and fix it.
However, looking at a few of the different/dull prints, I ended up really liking some of them. The grey scale change between the prints below, for example, were beautiful and created an interestingly different atmosphere to the environment. Some of these dull prints I decided to keep and still sell, particularly after a few peers made compliments on their appearance. I decided to keep 4 in total, two of each roping design that match and are 'limited edition'.
Once I managed to get all of the settings right, I decided to print 6 posters each, and 4 prints each (because of limited edition pieces). Overall, I'm really happy with how all of them have turned out, especially given I have gained extra work by accident to sell. I will possibly print out more in the future if I feel it necessary, but for now I am happy with what's been left.
