Research

During this week, I decided to go through the book once again and really focus on the information being given to me, and on all of the moments I needed to know, and remember. Going through, along with some help from websites and videos, I came up with a specifically made timeline that I'm really happy with. While it may look like a lot from a glance, it is colour coded and set out with arrows to follow, in order from start of the book, to the end. I made sure to include all of the particularly important characters throughout the book, highlighting the names to ensure I remember them. This will come in very handy as I move forward, as after my research process progresses, I'll start looking into what visual developments need to be made, and what exactly I would like to create to sell, of which will be based off of this timeline.

Along with this, I did some deeper research into the Author, and all the potential important themes included and behind this book. I found this research incredibly useful, as it will inform my progress forward and has helped me better understand the book as a whole, and what London wanted to portray through his writing.

Product Posters & Prints For the A5 prints and A3 posters, I knew I had to create multiples to a high standard if I wanted a chance of selling my work. So, I began by taking in normal sketchbook paper to print onto, as to not risk the use of my expensive print paper. Im glad I did this, as I had many print outs that came out dull or wrong. While I was aware this could partly be because of my choice of paper, I played around with the printer settings on both the printer and photoshop, as to understand the problem and fix it. However, looking at a few of the different/dull prints,      I ended up really liking some of them. The grey scale change between the prints below, for example, were beautiful and created an interestingly different atmosphere to the environment.
