Branding Development

From the last branding post, I have redesigned the wolf and wolf skull, and added more details into them both. I decided to do them both in two different art styles I am well known for using digitally and traditionally. I find this really identifies me as an artist within my work, as I am recognisable through this simple portrait, which will work well in my favour when placed onto a business card.

I then went on to start designing the business cards. I really wanted to explore red within my business cards, as I love using red as a powerful pop of colour. However, after trying it multiple times in a variety of ways, alongside black, I found the black style at the bottom left stood out the most. I did go around my peers and lecturers for their opinions before I made my decision, as I recognise that I need a business card that the public will visually enjoy not just me. Luckily, everyone agreed with me. The closest being the top right corner of the second page. Im really happy with this decision and feel this was the best outcome.

I also looked into my personal logo, after getting inspiration from my business cards and what direction I was going with my personal branding. I knew from the beginning I wanted my logo to show my initials, so I started with that idea. From my first random design on the top left, I really liked the circular design and really pushed that idea. Adding small details and shifting my initials to bend and curve into a circular design to match.

Overall, I love the finished logo I chose. I feel it has an interesting composition and is bold enough to stick out, with pieces of detailed elegance that makes it overly feel professional. I would like to develop it further and clean it up a bit more but overall I’m really happy with how it turned out.
